GM: (1228 9-26-2057)
R'thoria heads back out of the library, toward the last report of the pink elf. The street looks no different except yellow lights, floating in midair are flashing on and off. She moves on into the Keep's courtyard. She feels a slight tug as the grid switches to a higher code. The courtyard has a few small structures, unlabeled, and a door leading into the Keep itself. The pink elf is standing beside a pale blue elf, appearently chatting about something or another.
The young girl tells Zerra that it's a long story and she didn't want to get into it now. however she asks if she could come with them to get out of the R&D Building. The Amazon Trio looks surprized at Adrian as she shoots the console, stopping the light. The Amazon Trio simply moves to the next console and carefully covering where the light would start blinking, and go back to whatever they were doing.
The Lonestar Cops ignore Wolfclaw's threat and ask that he leave immediatly.
Fenix opens his eyes and the bright light blinds him for a second. As his vision clears he sees a nice brick wall directally in front of him. To the right is a large security gate, the left the corner of the room and another brick wall. Fenix hears a gentle humming behind him and a soft breeze strokes his tired body.
Kwain watches the guard and he continues to look down.
Baron completes his spell.
Fenix:
I hear the humming behind me and attempt to turn my head/body around to investigate the sound. I search all nooks and cranies around me for signs of hidden cameras, microphones, 2-way mirrors, etc. The breeze feels good as it evaporates my sweat.
Baron:
If my cure toxin spell is finished I will take this frozen slop and demand an exchanged for the Large Mr. Pibb I really wanted. If not, I will continue my spell.
Kwain:
I begin to laugh under my breath as I realize the tour guide will be in deep trouble for causing a lockdown for no reason! I continue to aim at the window, but attempt to conceal myself more with the ledge of the garage. I attempt to see if there are any other guards or other personal behind the guard who I am letting live for the moment. If things go awry, I will pop off a shot at the guard and attempt a getaway on mr. motorbike. In the back of my mind, I am thinking where I could get some nice black paint...
Zerra:
I continue to pacify the girl and ask Adrian if it would be alright to take her with us. She may even be able to help with this mission.
Adrian:
After agreeing with Zerra, I resign myself to watching the door again, idly wondering how much it will cause to repair the damage they have already done. Struck by an idea, I quickly look around for possible explosives or non-matrix type contol panels.
Wolfclaw:
I dont' leave, and I start to bribe the cops to let me through. I offer $3,970 or ask them to name a price to let me through. Then I show them my sword and threaten them to accept my offer. I say "If you don't take my offer and let me Through, I will hurt you."
R'thoria:
I get as close as I dare to the pair of elves, trying to be as inconspicous as possible,
listening to their conversation. I am slightly bothered by the flashing yellow lights, figuring that they are some sort of alarm. I quietly pledge to myself (hoping it wasn't me) that if I find whoever set the alarm off, I'll blast them and their deck to a
crisp.
GM:(1229 9-26-2057)
Fenix crains his neck and upper back to look behind him, out of the corner of his eye he sees a corner of a tan painted metal box spaning from the floor to the ceiling. A yellow light appears to be flashing just out of his sight range. Suddenly Fenix is startled by a feminine voice from where the gate seemed saying, "Ah, so the trooper has finally
awakened." Turning to face the voice, Fenix sees a elven woman in her late twenties, early thirties, wearing a black uniform with an odd insignia stiched onto it. A pair of Uzi IIIs are prominantly displayed on her hips, a Security 500 in her left hand. Behind her a small cart with electronic equipment piled on it sits with lights blinking slowly.
Kwain continues to watch the guard at the window, he eventually turns away, talking into his radio and disappears from view.
The two guards look at the nuyen Wolfclaw is offering, glance at each other, slip the money into their pockets, passing a ID Tag back to Wolfclaw saying, "pleasure doin' buisness with ya, chummer." The two guard then wander back into the crime scene.
Asuka looks cunfusedly at the trio and R'thoria, and asks Zerra, "What are they doing?" After Zerra explains she asks is she could join them, she has a registered deck.
Adrian looks around the room and finds a fuse panel and a couple loose conduits running along the ceiling.
R'thoria moves closer to the conversing Elves, into hearing range of their conversation. The conversation consists of some small talk about the current passive alert and how some stupid tour guard triggered a Matrix Alert for thinking she say an actual person. They converse about the new passwords that have just been implemented, the pale blue elf requests the new passcodes. The pink elf starts to download of something into the node after requesting the blue elf's clearance.
Adrian:
I examine the panel, planning on blasting it as we leave if it doesn't provide power to the elevators.
Zerra:
I allow Asuka to jack into the Matrix, however, I hitch a ride with her, using my VCR as my interface.
Wolfclaw:
I thank the guards and continue forward, looking for clues, and a spot to stop and look through the information that I got in the beginning of the mission.
R'thoria:
I inch myself closer to attempt to see any of the details of the download. I also check my persona tag. I also take out another sticky note and throw it on the blue elf.
Kwain:
Ha ha ha. I quickly decide to scope out the room and make sure it is clear with my rifle. If no one is in the room, I fire my piton just above the window, secure it back to the parking garage, and zip across the the building, but staying above the window so that noone can see me. I will then look in, and if everything appears ok, I will promptly shoot them with my silenced pistol and leave the building, throwing their body out the window as I do so.
Baron:
I return to the shop and approach the clerk demanding an immediate exchange for the large Mr. Pibb.
Fenix:
I flex my extremities in a vain attempt to see if I can get out. At the same time I ask the nice lady her name and what they plan to do with me.
GM:
The elf looks at Fenix and says, rather curtly, "My name is irrelevant. You however, will tell me why you're here, how you got in, and anything else I may want to now." An evil smile crosses her face on the last part. She then turns and brings the cart closer, needles and chemicals come into view from the other side of the cart, the electronic device looks to be a standard torture device, delivering electrical shock in various degrees.
R'thoria moves a bit closer and sees the outline of a maybe 4 Mp datastore, filling quickly with swirling numbers and letters. She throws the second elf a stickynote, with absorbs into him as well, her persona tag program however is unable to do much but report that no passcodes have been logged and that the tagged persona is currently downloading something to the Matrix, level red.
Asuka jacks into the matrix, loading a couple programs into memory. She looks like a young elf, maybe eighteen, with crome hair. Her eyes appear as black voids. She pulls the cutest little puppy from somewhere and it starts sniffing around R'thoria's deck's construct. after a split second the puppy rushes away, dragging Asuka behind. The puppy stops and dissappears about a foot from R'thoria's image, stopping Asuka short. Asuka quickly grabs R'thoria and pulls her back farther away from the two chatting elves.
Wolfclaw easily reaches the elevator and discovers that three of the four are currently out of order. (considering the firefight that had just occured, should you be surprized?)
Kwain scopes out the room, clearing the room with his rifle proves to be no problem, if a bit noisy with all the gunshots one has to fire to clear a whole room, kwains rifle reports out of ammo as he quickly zips across to the building and through the window. Its blatently obvious that no one is in the room, or if their had been they now would be dead, however, as Kwain regains his footing from his quick zipline-ride a security guard bursts through the door, firing a couple rounds from his security 500.
Baron continues looking the shop but cannot seem to find it, either he missed it or he can't remember what it looks like.
Wolfclaw:
Being cautious of taking elevators at times like these (fire could break out) I look for a staircase to take instead, if no staircase can be found, I ride the elevator that is not out of service.

Kwain:
I immediatly jump to the left to try to dodge the bullets. As I jump, I do a complete 360 and draw my sword mid-flight and swing it at head-level at the guard. After this, I will draw my 2 SMG's and get ready for any other combat, hiding in the corner of the room. I realize this could present a problem for some of the matrix groups, so I begin to think of a way to pull the fight somewhere else. I also have not heard from Fenix recently, so I should also attempt to see if I can find him. I also realize that MAACO has a good deal on cr paint, and I could probbably get my bike done for 99.99 of less!*
*some restrictions may apply. not availible in all areas. certain paints may require additional payment. labor and tax not included.
Baron:
I concentrate on where I am and AGAIN try to enter the Quick-E-Mart where I was tricked by that blankety-blank-blank of a store owner. I also load my gun to its full capacity.
Fenix:
I tell the lady "Torture isn't needed, I will co-operate fully with you as a sign of goof faith" In my mind I quickly think of possible lies to her questions she might ask. I don't tell her that though. I also say "I'm not one to continue fighting when I know I've been beat" I'm trying to lull her into a false sense of security if any oppertuninty to escape should present itself. I wonder where Kwain is? Maybe somebody will help me, I think to myself.
Adrian:
bored, bored, I wish R'thoria would hurry it up already, we're overstaying our welcome...
GM:
Wolfclaw easily finds the stairwell access and opens the door, entering the eerily quiet stairwell. It goes up four stories and down three.
The lady looks at Fenix with a mischeivious grin for a moment before saying, "Well, be it or not that you think torture isn't nessisary, I relish in watching others under my torture. However, to start with I'll just as you some questions." She pulls a hyperdermic needle from the cart and releases all the air bubbles before injecting Fenix with it. "I however want to be sure you're telling the truth..."
Baron continues to search for the elusive Quick-E-Mart. Realizing suddenly that he shouldn't have turned at the last intersection. He returns to the Quick-E-Mart finding it just as he left it, the shopkeeper asking, "Would you like a three week old hotdog?"
Kwain easily lobs the head off the guard. Another guard appears briefly in the doorway before disappearing. Kwain hears someone yell, "We have a merc, get the tour groups out, release gaspacks!" A series of footsteps retreat quickly, doors slamming shut, a slight grating noise is heard behind kwain.
Adrian hears barely above the hum of the computers a couple of voices on the other side of the wall.
Wolfclaw:
I head downstairs and plan to stop off at B1, to loof for any information I can find.
Kwain:
I quickly reattach my powerzip to the line and fly out the window, facing backwards in case anyone comes through the window for me to blast. Upon reaching the parking garage, i will jump on my bike and speed off down the road away from the buliding. After backing off a few blocks, I plan to leave the bike somewhere safe and head back to any building near the front of the building i can snipe from.
Baron:
I hurry up to the clerk and demand an immediate exchange for a large Mr. Pibb.
Fenix:
I roll my eyes up into thier sockets and chant "ur-kwaa-su-lee-to-ta" I repeat this three times in an attempt to throw her off. When I am finished I say, "Everything I say from here on out will be a lie" I smile wickedly.
R'thoria:
Sensing mild hostility and impatience from an unknown source, I decide to work as quickly as I can. I am surprised by this sudden attack on my persona and draw my light pistol (the attack program) before asking what the hell's going on.
GM:
Asuka looks at R'thoria with a slightly perplexed look before saying, "R'thoria, those are the two highest rank cyberguards in this sytem. The blue elf is actually an advanced IC program. It would identify you as an intruder real quick. Come this way." Asuka tries, unsuccessfully, to pull R'thoria toward the keep away from the Elves. "Oh, and by the way, Zerra let me come in after you." The flashing yellow lights, just as they had appeared, disappeared.
The elf watching Fenix stifles a slight laugh as she replies, "Little man, I could care less what you say, the chemical helps lower your resistance to mind probing. I don't audibly ask you anything." She then moves closer to Fenix, laying a hand gently on his cheek. He immediatly attempts to pull away but the force of her mind prevents his body from moving. "That's the way, just relax, I won't be long," she coos softly.
Kwain turns to see his escape window to be a meer sliver of space between to steel plates mounted in the windowframe. A slight hissing fills the air, and the slight smell of standard KOgas perferates Kwain's senses.
Wolfclaw goes down a floor to the first basement and finds the door locked. Only a maglock keyhole mars this otherwise smooth door.
The Clerk points to a small sign behind him reading, "All Sales Final, If you must have a refund ask for Tiny." The shopkeeper again asks about buying a hotdog.
Wolfclaw:
I put my ear next to the door, to see if I can hear anyone inside, hoping that there may be someone to let me in.

R'thoria:
I cautiosly follow the new elf, keeping my attack program ready. I hope that Zerra and Adrian are alright, but decide that if something had happened to my friends, I'd be dead or unconscious by now.
GM:
Asuka leads R'thoria toward the inner keep, slipping into a odd nook in the sculpting of the system. "This is a little quirk I added to the system sculpting, here, you'll need these. They are the passcodes for this system." Asuka starts a download to the matrix, a much smaller box than the pink elf's. "It's just the codes for this system, to keep out on-time down," Asuka explains. The download completes and the box shifts into the form of a small smiley face button, which Asuka hands R'thoria, a slight grin on her face.
Wolfclaw ears the door, but doesn't hear anything from the door except an echo of his heartbeat. The door remains firmly locked.
R'thoria:
I accept the smiley face, trying to keep a grin off my own face. I think I'm beginning to like this girl, provided she doesn't end up betraying me. I tell the girl that I'm looking for information on some blueprints, giving her the general idea, and that the mild irritation I'm feeling from an unknown source would probbably dissipate if she could help me find them.
GM:
"-k-, this way," Asuka leads R'thoria into the keep proper, the sculpting of the system shifts suddenly from the midevil elven society to a more high tech look of a nuclear power plant. Elves are standing all along the outer keep working at different consoles. "Those are smart frames and basic ai subprograms, monitoring utilities, basically," Asuka whispers as she hurries through the control lab to a large glass hexagon suspended about a hundred feet above the ground. Asuka reaches the bottom and looks up, a slight perplexity visible on her face as she looks back at R'thoria.
Wolfclaw:
I hear the ad, and I think to myself, that I should look into getting a hold of that breifcase. But in the meantime, I continue to B2.
R'thoria:
"What's the matter?"
GM:
"Usually the Hexa is fifty foot lower, a ladder extends down when it's lower." Asuka suddenly tosses a small pile of black iron rods, like those used in gardening gates. As she tosses out the rods, they form themselves into a garden arch, the gate completes and the space between shifts to the standard icons for a CPU. Asuka, looks over to R'thoria with a slight smirk and walks through the arch. Quickly looking around before motioning R'thoria in.
R'thoria:
I follow Asuka, also keeping my eyes peeled for possible signs of trouble. I decide to inquire, as discreetly as possible, what the significance of "Sauron" is.
Kwain:
Attaching my gas mask at the onset of the gas, i quickly deside to play this game my way. I locate the guard's severed head and place it back where it should go, making sure to cover any visible wounds. I then place the katana in the man's hand, with the rifle on his back. I then begin shouting and beating the wall near the decoy with my hands, before yelling and slumping to the floor, only to then position myself in the corner of the room with my SMG's.
Fenix:
I think of fluffy white clouds and happy clowns in an attempt to elude her mind probes. I do what I can to resist her.
Baron:
I wait impatiently for my Lg. Mr. PIbb.
GM:
Wolfclaw moves on down to B2 and finds that door just as locked as B1's door.
"Sauron, hmm, Oh, thats the name of the login point that one of the basement rooms taps. Anyway, what blueprints did you want again?" Asuka moves over to the site map, glancing at the datastore's informational quicklists.
The shopkeeper repeats his question about purchasing a weekold hotdog.
Fenix feels his thoughts about happy clouds shred as the interrogator moves toward deeper thoughts. Fenix feels himself being violated and begins to resist with a force he didn't realize he had.
The gas continues to fill the room and Kwain estimates about a four to five minute wait for the gas to dicipate.
James:
Arriving on the scene, I park Quickshot (my hovercraft) near the front of the building. I begin power-up procedures for the med-lab. Grabbing my medkit and taser, I head towards the front of the building.
Kwain:
Hmmm. I silently get up from my corner and move to the back of the room opposite the door. I grab one SMG in each hand and aim at the corners of the room nearest the wall with the door. I then rake the wall back and forth with both guns, concentrating most of my fire near the door. After doing this, I draw my pistols and move to next to the doorway, listening for anything still moving, which I will shoot a few rounds at. After this, I grab the sword, sheath it, and fire my rifle at the doorframe where the lock would be. I will then hold position and eliminate any individuals who attempt to get in the room.
R'thoria:
I tell Asuka everything that I know about the blueprints.
GM:
Asuka nods and starts running a couple different programs, all puppies of some sort, which run around the node and run through the system. "Don't worry the pups are registered under an imaginary user in the system, they haven't yet been traced back to me." Asuka assures R'thoria. A few seconds (to Asuka and R'thoria) later, the pups return each carrying a bit of data in different styles, bones and chewtoy, etc. Asuka collects the bits and as they come in contact with each other merge and form a small datastore. "Is this it you think?" Asuka starts copying the datastore to her storage memory. R'thoria matches the gathered prints to a 98% against the blueprints she needs.
Baron:
(in an irrated voice) You will exchange this cup-o-crap for a large Mr. Pibb. NOW.
Wolfclaw:
I think, and look for another way to get in to that door, maybe I can find a fake ID that would athorize my way through.
Fenix:
I focus my mind as best as I can and continue to envision happy thoughts.
GM:
Kwain empties the two clips into the far wall, but no sounds of security guards. Kwain drops the SMGs and draws his pistols, he drops a pistol to grab his sword, sheathing it and then draws the rifle blasting the doorlock to smitherings. the guards don't seem to react to the gunfire.
James moves up toward the main enterance being stopped by a guard who leads him toward where they are gathering the wounded.
"R'thoria, we should probbably get out of here, I hope these are the prints you need..." Asuka comments before reaching up behind her ear and making a plug pulling motion. Her persona image disappears a split-second later.
The shopkeeper again points at the small sign about asking for Tiny.
Wolfclaw doesn't see the door change after his intent studying.
Fenix continues to fight the mind probe, but can't decide whether she's getting any coherent thoughts or not.
Wolfclaw:
I knock on the door to see if anyone is in there, if there is no response I pound on the door until I get an answer.
R'thoria:
I attempt a graceful exit.
Adrian:
"-k-" I watch the amazon trio with mild interest as they converse between themselves, and look at their console. I decide we should 'convince' them to stay and move over to them drawing my Max-power and Roomsweeper. I motion to Zerra to help me. When Zerra and I reach them I club two of them over the head with the pistols, letting Zerra take the last one.
Zerra:
I attempt to creap over to the trio, drawing my Fichetti to use similurly to Adrian.
Kwain:
Noticing that my actions may have seriously threatened my chances of a clean enterance, I figure that it is time to rely on speed. I slide my rifle to the corner of the room, holster my pistols, and reload my SMGs. I then take a deep breath and prepare myself. I switch out to bust and fire each weapon at one of the hinges. I then charge at the door and somersault into it with my feet, after which I stand up hopefully in the hallway. Just before standing up, I stick my arms out to the side and loose another two unaimed bursts down the hallway. I then run to my right, my right SMG in front and my left behind. I intend to burst at any individual I see, and should no targets present themselves anymore, I will turn around and fire at any persons on the other side of the hall. After this, I intend to find a new room to gain entry to for the time being, but in a position that I can hear any sort of enemy movement.
James:
I flip up my medicomp, and run its mass scan program. I begin triage, assessing which people are dead or beyond hope, which are critically injured (life threatening), which are seriously injured (limb threatening or life changing), which are stable (heavy but not dangerous injuries), and which are only wounded. I write down these numbers on a notepad in my pocket.
GM:
R'thoria opens her eyes in time to see Adrian thump two of the Amazon Trio knocking them out, followed a moment later by the third one, curtesy of Zerra. Asuka looks fearful as she watches the two young ladies knock out the three people.
Wolfclaw knocks politely on the door, but recieves no response. He begins ponding on the door and he hears footsteps approaching quickly.
Kwain Knocks off the hinges and is startled when a odd woman, perhaps in her early twenties enters into the room through the wall to Kwain's left. She looks at Kwain before saying "Hi, can I help?"
James notes there are two wounded seriously, and three or four with lighter wounds, no fatalities and nothing life threatening. The Lonestar cops drag James over to one of the more wounded of people.
R'thoria:
I clean up and ask Adrian if we're all ready to go. Also, I ask if the new decker is coming with us.
Wolfclaw:
I prepare for battle if needed, but first I will ry to talk my way out of the situation, if I can.
James:
I yell at the tow guards to let me do my job in piece, or i may need to speak with their employer. I tell them if we are to help these men, i will require the stretchers from my vehicle. I tell them the left-hand door is unlocked and that they should get the two portable stretchers and bring them to me IMMEDIATLY! I also inform them that the stretchers have instructions on them for lowering and detaching them. I then turn to the injured man and have my medcomp scan him and begin the appropriate treatment.
Kwain:
By the gods! I drop my weapons and immediatly drop to the ground in respect and humility. I say to her: "Oh diety of the nine-fold heavens, why grace me with your presence? I, Kwain Hi-Sho am at your service."
Baron:
I'm still waiting for my Mr. Pibb
Fenix:
Quickly in an effort to distract her mind probes I try to imagine my interrogator naked and having intimate relations with me. It's a dominatrix scene and I am got the whip.
Adrian:
"Lets get movin', we'll leave the trio as the scapegoat." I move to the door drawing my fichetti, listening at it for a moment before slowly inching it open to see if the coast is clear. If clear, I motion for follw and move out into the hall toward the elevator.
Zerra:
I answer R'thoria's question about the decker, "yes, but I'm not sure how long..." I try to keep it out of Asuka's hearing range. At least the part after and including 'but'
GM:
The guy opens the door, being startled at the sight of Wolfclaw, promply slams it on Wolfclaw's face.
The shopkeeper looks as if seeing Baron for the first time asks, "Would you like to buy a hot dog? They're fresh!
Fenix suddenly feels pain along his spine, a voice whispers, "what a silly little man, do you have any idea the power I currently wield over your nervious system? Be good and you won't need reconstructive surgery."
The cops look dumbly at James a moment before again shoving him toward some fallen people.
The Freak looks carefully at Kwain a moment before saying, "Rise little warrior, we have a fief to capture!" She waits for Kwain to stand before moving through the door he had just moments ago knocked in. A blast of greenish-blue energy erupts from her fingertips down direction of the corridor and she proceeds down the other.
Adrian peeps into the hallway, seeing the same dull misty corridor they origionally came to. She moves to the elevator and it opens at her approach, a nice friendly empty.
Adrian:
I hold the elevator door open with my foot, watching the hallway for any guards. After everyone is inside I push the button for the main floor.
Zerra:
I follow Adrian into the elevator, keeping my weapon ready.
R'thoria:
I, too, draw my weapon and usher our new "friend" out the door, remaining alert for any danger.
Wolfclaw:
I remaind prepared and knock the door again.
Kwain:
"Yes, My leige." I immediatly head out the door, noticing that there are no guards in sight. I ask my new ally, "What would you have me do now?" I follow her and guards her wherever she goes for now.
James:
I ask them to hurry in getting those strechers. I continue treating the injured.
Fenix:
I give the impression that I let down my guard. I say, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
GM:
The group rides the elevator up to the main floor, it opens to the scene of the main enterance.
A couple of the Cops bring James the strechers and watch with muted bordom as he treats the wounded.
The Freak continues down the hallway, turning in the corner almost running into a couple of guards hiding there, they both start firing their weapons until the weapons suddenly become too hot to hold. The freak moves past the guards like they weren't there and heads toward a room marked "Storage".
Wolfclaw knocks on the door some more, the same person again opens the door a bit and promptly slams it shut again seeing the drawn weapon. Wolfclaw hears, muffled greatly the sound of footsteps running away from the door.
Wolfclaw:
I prepare for unarmed combat, and withdraw my weapon, then knock on the door once again.
Baron:
I pull out my uzi III and point it at the guard, "I know for a fact than you remember me. All I want is to exchange this smoldering pile-o-junk for a large Mr Pibb like I origionally wanted. Do it now or things will get ugly." I then breifly scan the room for any security cameras, if I find any I will shoot them. If the clerk trys something funny, I will shoot him dead.
Kwain:
Following the woman, I see that she has disarmed two guards who posed a threat. I realize that she probbably had good reason for not killing them. I stab the first guard through the chest about a quarter inch, and kick the other guard. I then strike the kicked guard in the arm with my sword, nicking him slightly (hopefully). I then follow the woman and continue to allow her to lead. I also ask, "What exactly are we looking for miss?"
Adrian:
I quickly scan the scene and walk calmly away from the building.
Zerra:
I follow Adrian's example and appear non-chalant.
GM:
Wolfclaw hears no response immediately after a moment the sound of a series of muffled footsteps come and the door opens slightly, a man peeking through the door, a security guard or two visible behind him.
The shopkeeper looks at baron over the barrel of the uzi, "Your not too bright are you? TINY! We have someone with a complaint!" The shopkeeper drops down behind the counter, disappearing from view. The ground vibrates slightly as a rather large cyclops steps forward from the back room, "You have a complaint little one?" it rumbles.
Kwain stabs the first guard and as he trys to only knick the guy, a odd feeling around the blade pulls it on forward through the guard, coming out his back. Kwain still kicks the other guard, but cannot bring his katana around because of the problem of having a dead guard impaled upon it. Kwain notices the Freak watching the encounter with open glee as he stabbed the guard, she claps her hands together silently.
The scene at the front of the R&D building has calmed down considerably. About ten guards wander around appearently aimless, five or six are clustered around James, watching idlely. One of the guards notices the team walking away, "Tour over already?" he smiles warmly at the three girls.
Fenix feels his strength fading as his interrogater continues to probe his mind. A second before he breaks she pulls away. "You know, you know nothing worth knowing, except of course that computer facility you seem to have. I think I'll send someone to visit. You're free to go, however, a friend of ours is playing with your deck, you probbably won't get it back, sorry!" She then injects something into Fenix's arm, and a warm fuzzy feeling starts spreading across his body. Just before he looses consiousness he hears, "Nighty, night, little man..."
Baron:
I aim for the space between the shopkeeper's eyes and fire.
Fenix:
As soon as I am conscious I will immediatly check my possessions. If I have weapons I will immediately proceed toward my facility. I will make my path go by a quick-e-mart for a quick refreshment.
Kwain:
Pulling my hand from the sword, I draw the SMG on the kicking foot and level a nice burst at the guard's head. I look at the woman in total bewilderment, and then continue t follow her.
Wolfclaw:
I ask if I may enter the room, and say I come in peace.
R'thoria:
I smile, not warmly but not cooly, back at the guard and slightly nod my head as I preceed outside.
Adrian:
I give the guard a warm smile and continue on.
Zerra:
I let R'thoria and Adrian draw the guards attention as I quickly move on toward the banshee.
GM:
Baron, stands there stupified for a moment before realizing the shopkeeper has disappeared, Tiny, in the mean time, has moved to stand right behind Baron. He asks in his rough grizzly voice, "You think you bright? Go away." The uzi III in his palm looks rather small as he points it at Baron.
The man looks at Wolfclaw oddly for a moment before asking if he left his ID card in his office.
The Freak ignores Kwain's look and proceeds down the hallway, a moment later she changes direction and disappears into a sidewall.
The guard smiles warmly at Adrian and R'thoria and waves before turning and walking back to whatever he was doing.
Adrian:
"He's treating us like children," I brood as I climb into the banshee.
R'thoria:
"Yeah, but could 'children' have done this? He won't suspect us."
Adrian:
'guess you're right. Lets get this data offloaded so I can go take a shower.
Wolfclaw:
I reply yes I have lost my ID in my office somewhere and it hasn't turned up yet. I put in a claim for a new one, but I haven't been given a replacement.
Baron:
I duck down, seeing if I can see the shopkeeper while dodging to the right, moving to put the shelves between myself and Tiny. I prepare a hellblast and when ready launch it at Tiny. If I see the shopkeeper, I shoot him.
Kwain:
I look at the wall and find the nearest door leading into whatever room could be on the other side of the wall. I make sure all my weapons are sheathed/holstered and draw 1 pistol and proced through whatever door may be there.
GM:
Baron makes it behind the shelves and begins summoning the power for his hellblast. Tiny, follows Baron's movements with a spray of uzi shots, Baron hearing barely over the gunshots the clerk yelling to watch the goods.
The man moves out of the way and opens the door to allow Wolfclaw in. One of the guards says he'll escort him back to his office, there are a number of dangerous people currently roaming the halls and the building is on alert.
Kwain searches the wall but doesn't see a door along the wall in this cooridor. The sound of footsteps start echoing down the hallway, Kwain guesses around five or six guards.
Adrian, R'thoria, Asuka, and Zerra climb into their vehicle and return to the mansion. The mansion staff welcomes them back and directs them to where to drop off their newly aquired paydata.
Fenix wakes a bit later in an alley somewhere and takes stock of his possesions (see chara sheet).
Fenix:
I look around, checking myself for wounds and proceed toward my car, returning gleefully to my computer facility.
Baron:
I release the hellblast at tiny, while continuing to dodge bullets.
Kwain:
I grab my piton gun from my side while running back to the corner where I felled the two guards. Peering around the corner, I grab one of the expanding pitons and load a high-velocity shell into the gun. I will then wait for the guards to emerge, and i will use the thermal imaging feature of my headset to determine when the most guards are in the area i am aiming at. After firing the piton, I will holster my piton gun and clear the area of all hostiles, going back into the hallway if neccessary. After the confrontation, I will once again attempt to find access into the room the woman walked into.
GM:
The security guard turns to Wolfclaw asking, "Where is your office?"
Fenix reaches his facility no prob. but uppon arriving discovers he's missing one of the computers that were located there.
Baron releases a hellblast at tiny, collapsing from the strain into unconsiousness.
Kwain scurries back up the hall, slipping on a patch of blood while trying to load the piton, but doesn't fall, spinning to view the hall he just traversed with his thermographic system. Heating pipes running in the walls obscure the vision through the wall. An arm with a hand grenade appears from behind the corner, the grenade flying down the hallway toward Kwain.
Wolfclaw:
My office is on the 2nd floor in the northwest corner. I recomend we take the stairs, it is dangerous to ride in elevators at a time like this.
Kwain:
I throw one of the bodies next to me on top of the grenade as best i can. I then jump away from the blast zone. After the explosion, i intend to resume attempting to gun down any assailents in the manner previously described.
GM:
"The second floor? I hear they're sending everyone from there home, do you have anything in your office you absolutely need?" The guard consults his radio a moment before asking.
The body falumps on the grenade and after a couple moments of nothing kwain looks a bit perplexed. Another grenade is heard bouncing down the corridor.
Wolfclaw:
I think for a moment, then say "Nothing I can't finish tomorrow. I wonder if this counts as a paid day off? Thanks for you help sir, I'll be on my way once I get to the ground floor.
Kwain:
This time, I run down the corridor i came from as fast as I can, past the office, and try to come around the guards from behind. I am currently holding the SMG in one hand and the piton weapon in the other. The SMG is to deal with any single guards and the piton is my prefered weapon to try get the group.
GM:
"-k-," The guard steps into the well with you and walks up the steps to the 1st floor. He swipes his card, holding you out of range of anyone sniping the door. He peeks out waves at one of the other guards and holds the door open for you.
Wolfclaw:
"Thanks sir. I'll see you tomorrow." I walk out the front "hole" and out the R&B building. I start walking to the nearest bus station, or taxi stop, which ever I come across first.
GM:
Wolfclaw catches a passing taxi and zooms back to the mansion, without event.
