   Shelby is a rather ordinary looking human except for a series of scars across the left side of his body, they aren't horrific scars, but are easily noticed when looking at him. He would've probbably had the scars removed except the circumstances that he aquired them. He origionally lived in a small rural community in Ohio. Oddly enough, his parents were Dwarven and Human. Everyone figured he would probbably goblinize when he hit puberty. About 2036 (he was 17 or so) his community was napalm fire-bombed by the Alamos 20,000. Both his parents were killed in the fire, himself burning his left arm, leg, and body. The physical wounds healed quickly, however, he refused to let any of the doctors apply anything that would remove the remaining physical scars, choosing to use them as a reminder of his parents.

   He currently holds on-call jobs with many small corporations as a translator and sometimes as a informant. He deals with information handling, and would probbably make a good Fixer, and may actually double as one for some of the corporations he works for. Once in a while, he is brought in to help interagate someone, because of his different approaches to extracting information from an unwilling target.

   Shelby always wanted to know why people thought the way they did, and why people reacted to different stimuli how they did. Throughout his schooling, he studied behavioral sciences and psychology, majoring in Psychology from the University of Denver around age 22. During his schooling, he figured that he should be able to talk to more than just people knowing english. He therefore took classes for every language he could and convinced a few Elves to teach him Sperethiel. One of these Elves he actually dated for almost a year, she seemed the perfect match for him, however she left him for a rich, old guy during their 3rd year in college. He went out with a couple other girls his age, but didn't find anyone he liked for more than a date or two. He finished out college dating less and less, spending more time in his studies of foriegn languages and human behaviour.
